Macaulay Culkin reacted pretty well to the news of his own death

A Facebook hoax claimed the actor had been found dead in his New York apartment. He’s actually alive and well.

FEAR NOT – HOME ALONE actor Macaulay Culkin isn’t dead, just the victim of a nasty death hoax on Facebook.

You may have noticed people sharing links like these, which lead to a story on Culkin’s alleged death, on your Facebook timeline lately.

The link brings you to a fake news website called MSNBC.website.com, where you’ll find an article that reads:

Sources are reporting that Macaulay Culkin, best known for his role as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone and sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, has been found dead at the age of 34. Multiple unconfirmed reports say Culkin was found dead Friday afternoon in his Manhattan apartment after police responded to a wellness check requested by a family member.

People were convinced by the article, and began sharing condolences on Twitter.

However, Culkin is alive and well – just the victim of his second death hoax this year (the first occurred in April).

He’s currently touring with his band The Pizza Underground, and responded to the hoax with a series of sarcastic tweets and photos. Sure how else are you supposed to respond to a death hoax?

Oh, we like that one the best.

Wishing you well in your continued existence, Mac.
